A recent conversation with a OW case worker on 10/25/2022 between 11 am and 12 noon time, over the phone at peel regional building. I was not born in a shelter (in my country of birth), so why I am in a shelter in Canada. I am a Citizen arrived in as a landed immigrant at Toronto Airport in 1993. I was in a housing before June 19 of 2022 in Hamilton, so why am I in a shelter since June 20, why it was done to me which resulted in me seeking a public shelter. Why OW or the govt. can't provide me reasonable housing at par with my educational and professional status. Why keep me in shelters. It will be cheaper to issue a plane ticket to me than to keep me in shelter. Why I was kept unemployed since 2006 just to keep the OW file open. It would have been better to give me employment according to my immigration status to enable me to support myself and housing according to my status I was told about overpayment. as of today October 24 of 2022 Shelter staff did not give me the voters registration card  I was told by the city hall staff that a registration card will be mailed. Perhaps they are holding it or gave it to some one else. Some one should track this card from Brampton City hall to see who will use it or what was done with it. My letters (and other pieces if mail) have been missing and stolen at other locations as well. That's why I proposed to Canada Post that they should encode the address with QR codes on the envelopes so that such people can't see what to steal or whose letter to steal. That will require additional equipment and expertise to determine the contents of to the envelopes. Petty or seasoned low level thieves/criminals will not have such expertise because of their own limitations not because somebody stopped or prevented them. Bed #8 is in dorm room where as Over flow COT#8 is a folding cot comes out of a storage room around 10h00 pm at night and is folded and stored back in the syorage by 07h00 next morning. Bed #8 is a bunk bed inside one of the dormitory room. Numbers 1 to 15 are inside dorms bunk bed numbers and in the common area are slso used for 1 to 15 cit numbers. TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN/INTEREST - that I do not take meals from the catering service of the Wilkinson Shelter because my name was not included on their list although I am using shelter services (due to a housing emergency of June 19 of 2022 in Hamilton) after intake interview and intake handwritten paper work completed on July 22 of 2022. I have pointed it out to them several times but list was not updated to include my name {Khalid Mahmood}. I takeout meals (mostly at dinner time) from Knights Table food bank at 287 Glidden Rd. in Brampton, and buy my breakfast and lunch myself most of the time nearly daily. I am registered with this food bank after completing the handwritten application since October 04 of 2022. Recently someone said something to me about Canadian Passport at the shelter in a conversation. He said he will be leaving and go8ng back to India, I said I will be going back to Saudi Arabia as soon as I get my ticket. He tried to imply in that part of the world people are treated well if they have Canadian passort otherwise not. I said I disagree with that because I will not use Canadian passort to return to Saudi Arabia, more over I am getting out of Canadian Citizenship and will not use Cansdian Passport. He tried to convince me to keep Canadian Citizenship by saying that he will go back to India but will keep Canadian Passport because one can travel any where with Canadian Passport. I said it is the money, not the passort that enables people to travel. Keeping a Canadian passort and surviving on Social assistance or in a shelters is of no use.
