So if the merchants keep the card holder copy of the payment receipt, can they claim the card because of the card holder copy remains with them in the machine. ?? Banks, financial institutions and govt. should enforce some rules on this questionable, unacceptable and fraudulent practice of the low level retail merchants. It would be logical and legal that merchants should keep merchant copy and customers should keep card holder copy.

Something to think about.

Almost monthly fire alarm practice in this building since I live here (August 01 of 2023, lease was signed on July 28 of 2023 in the presence of two witnesses). This is very unusual. OCH Ottawa community housing should look into the root cause of it. It is inconvenient for seniors to go out of the building in cold weather. This is a seniors building. Unimaginable to have this event on monthly basis where seniors live. Perhaps even student housings do not get so frequent for alarms. When I lived in USA before 2005, it was only once that I heard such fire alarm in the housing and only once at place of work. Never again .  But in Ottawa, in this Building this a monthly activity, perhaps due to the Fire departments training centre in the neighbourhood at 900 Industrial. Is fire department using this building for training their new hires. When I came back to the building by 17h45, fire trucks were not around the building and there was no sign of fire. I called the OCH to find out about this

Don't believe liar's lies. I am not hiding, I am a rent paying monthly tenant in this building VIA apartments #504 since May 02, which briefly overlapped with my previous apartment 301 on 3rd street nearby about 15 minutes walk from here. I am NOT (absolutely NOT) hiding, I never have. There was no need, no reason for me to go in the hiding. Most likely impostors who were using a name {Khalid Mahmood} which links to me because of IDs were hiding. So opposite interpretation to misguid others (like in politics) would be to say {Khalid Mahmood} was hiding. No, never. I am not in cat and mouse game, i.e. when the cat comes mouse goes in the hiding. I wrote about it earlier as well when I was in Canada.
